Excelr8 Motorsport Signs 16-Year-Old Noah Young for BTCC 2027
Tom Ingram’s protégé Noah Young steps up from Ginetta Juniors to join Excelr8 Motorsport’s BTCC lineup alongside the two-time champion.
Excelr8 Motorsport has confirmed the signing of 16-year-old Noah Young for the 2027 British Touring Car Championship season. Young, a protégé of two-time BTCC champion Tom Ingram, will drive a Hyundai i30 N Fastback as part of a multi-year deal.
Young’s promotion marks a significant leap from the Ginetta Junior series, where he finished 12th, showcasing his rapid development under Ingram’s mentorship. Ingram, who won the Junior title in 2010, has played a key role in preparing Young for the challenges of BTCC competition.
This partnership pairs experience with youth, as Ingram aims to defend his status while fostering new talent within the Excelr8 squad. The move signals Excelr8’s commitment to nurturing future champions and strengthening their grid presence.
Noah Young’s entry into BTCC at such a young age highlights the increasing trend of early talent identification and development within British motorsport.
